A Nicholas II Russian 84 zolotnik (875 standard) silver covered sugar bowl, Moscow circa 1895 by Pytor Pavlovich Milyukov (active 1877-1912)
globular form with twin loop handles, the pull off gently domed lid surmounted by a detachable ivory knop finial. The front with engraved decoration of a floral arch with a putto and birds, a vacant centre. The lid with an engraved floral spray. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with makers mark (Postnikova 820) and dvonik assay mark, the lid with makers mark and town mark.
