A mid-20th century Cambodian silver covered dish on stand (Tok), circa 1940
Circular form with a rounded basin upon a screw fixed stand formed as three supports modelled as Garuda upon a domed base. The domed pull off lid surmounted by a screw fitted finial composed of three chased scalloped edge discs and a chased knop. The main body, lid and foot with embossed architraves chased with foliate patterns and water lettuce. The domed base with chased decoration of rosettes within lotus petal vignettes. French control mark to base and lid bezel, base also stamped T950.
