A mid/late 19th century manuscript book, compiled by various hands, mostly featuring recipes for desserts (biscuits, tarts, puddings, apple chutney, marrow jam, lavender water, ginger bread, etc), also including a 'tonic recipe' and a 'cough recipe', one page featuring a hand-drawn music score with various annotations, some loose pages, yellowing and age-related wear throughout, contemporary vellum, front free endpaper loose, 4to, c. 1850s-1880s.
