An early 20th century Burmese unmarked silver bowl, Upper Burma (Rakine) circa 1910
Of rounded circular form, the body with embossed decoration in the Mandalay style of various animals and figures. All reserved against an alternating chased ‘wallpaper’ foliate scroll or ring punched background below architraves, the upper section with chased trailing scrolls and the lower section with a band of stylised betel leaves. The underside chased with a simple circular motif.
