Dickens (Charles) Ink signature ('Charles Dickens') clipped from the close of a letter, mounted onto a page inscribed "To Mr and Mrs E.G. Golledge, with kindest regards from Kate Perugini" and featuring a vintage photograph of Dickens while working at his desk, framed and glazed, 26.5 x 33cm. ***The dedicatees are educator Ernest Golledge and his wife. He was headmaster of St John's Primary School between 1908 and 1934. In 1912 Kate Perugini opened the ‘Dickens Room’ at the school, which was meant to be a sort of library designed to inspire in the pupils a lifelong love of reading.
