A RED AND GILT BOHEMIA CUT-GLASS BOWL WITH SAUCER FOR THE IRANIAN MARKET  Bohemia, Czech Republic, late 19th century  Comprising a globular bowl, with a hemispherical lid topped by a gilt brass rose as knob, on a circular saucers with gilt rim, the decoration typical of the Iranian export market production and consisting of swirling bands of gilt beading and roundels of rosette and floral bouquets, grid patterns and stylised vegetal festoons, the base marked '24', the base of the saucer with a six-pointed star, 19cm high and 16cm diam.
