A George V sterling silver and tortoiseshell jewellery box, London 1912 by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths
Of rectangular form with a serpentine front, a hinged lid raised by a simple thumbpiece, all raised upon four cabriole legs. The tortoiseshell lid inlaid with a laurel swags and foliate scrolls centred by a rosette. Velvet interior, gilt to lid edge. Fully marked to the side, part-marked to the lid, and stamped underneath Goldsmiths and Silversmiths, 112 Regent Street.
