清乾隆 黃釉暗刻皮球花盌

Delicately potted with curved sides rising from a straight foot, the exterior incised with a quartet of five-petaled flowerheads interspersed with swirling clouds and above a band of petal lappets, the interior with a single flowerhead to the centre, covered allover in a rich egg-yolk yellow glaze that pools to a darker tone in the recesses, the white-glazed base inscribed with a six-character mark in underglaze-blue,

Compare a bowl sold at Christie's New York, 14th September 2012, lot 1514. Another was sold at Christie's London, 5th November 2019, lot 159, and another in the same rooms, 12th May 2017, lot 501. A comparable bowl was also sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 30th November 2021, lot 428, a pair at Sotheby's London, 9th November 2011, lot 81, and another pair at Sotheby's New York, 11th September 2019, lot 925.
