A mid-20th century Burmese silver cigar casket or box, Rangoon circa 1950

Of rectangular form with a hinged lid, the sides with embossed decoration of vignettes of a ship, elephants pulling a plough, oxen working a field, elephants, oxen pulling a cart, workers cutting crops, the lid with a rural scene combining the above elements, reserved with foliate scrolls, the lid with a border of lotus sepal leaves. Wood lined interior. The underside marked 95% SILVER, K, and Burma.
