North Island, New Zealand, last confirmed sighting 28/11/1907, in display box, of Natural History interest,

the feather 54mm long

Extinct since 1907. Endemic to the North Island of New Zealand. Exterminated by Europeans, who used their feathers to decorate hats.

Provenance: Provenance from the collection of celebrated taxidermist Barry Williams.
