A JAMAVAR SHAWL AND A PALLU FRAGMENT

The ivory pashmina wool ground twill-tapestry woven in blues and red with repeating rows of flower-filled buti interspersed with floral sprigs, the narrow edge on the right with a linear repeat of flowerheads containing some selvedge, within horizontal floral bands, framed and glazed, 51cm x 109cm including the frame; and a joined panel of figured ivory satin silk, the border brocaded with rose posies in green, pinks, and yellow above two rows of floral frieze, framed and glazed, 52cm x 85cm including the frame.
