A ROMAN GREEN GLASS JUG Circa 2nd - 3rd Century A.D. The cylindrical body decorated with two wheel-cut bands, alternating with two incised bands,with a slightly concave base, the sloping rounded shoulder surmounted by a short tubular neck, the mouth with a raised flange beneath the rim, and a ridged strap handle, 20cm high. Provenance: Acquired in Asia Minor, prior to 1914 by Paul Steiner (1871 - 1943); form an English private collection, 1948 - 2015.
