Duke of Leinster - A set of four George IV Irish sterling silver toddy or cream ladles, Dublin 1825 by Matthew West & Sons
Fiddle pattern, with rat tail heel. Each engraved with a crest of a monkey statant, environed about the middle with a plain collar and chained, with motto above NON IMMEMOR BENEFICI surmounted by a Duke's coronet. (4)

Probably for Augustus Frederick FitzGerald, 3rd Duke of Leinster (1791-1874), son of William FitzGerald, 2nd Duke of Leinster (1749-1804) and his wife, Emilia. On the 16th June 1818, he married Lady Charlotte Augusta Stanhope (1793-1859), the third daughter of Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington (1753-1829).
