Antique Indian Silver box / casket, Lucknow c1930. Of cut cornered rectangular form, the body chased with scenes of Indian palaces and the hinged lid surmounted by a statue finial modeled as a lion. With a front facing escutcheon inscribed "Presented To His Excellency Sir Harry Haig K.C.S.I.C.I.E.I.C.S. Governer Of The United Provences of Agra & Oudh By Municipal Board E Tawah On The 11th August 1936." Length 34cm / 13.5". Silver weight 1385g / 44.55 troy oz.
