An assembled late 19th / early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver three-piece tea service, Lucknow circa 1900

Raj period. Comprising a teapot, a twin handled sugar bowl and an associated milk jug. Each of rounded lobed form upon spreading feet. The teapot with a curved spout opposite a serpent cobra form handle leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a finial of a caparisoned elephant statant. The bodies with chased decoration in jungle pattern, below a border of trailing foliage, the milk jug with a border of trailing fish. The teapot with a temple to one side. The teapot chased underneath with a peacock. (3)
