Baldwin (Stanley)
Autograph letter signed ('B.of B.') to Mr Cadbury, informing the recipient that he has to deliver a series of lectures at Toronto University in April and stating "It is short notice and the preparation and writing for them will take me a month's hard work. I write with difficulty and such lectures are not in my line. But there is much that wants saying on that side of the Atlantic and if I can do it, it will be good. But I am only going across to see the Canadian P.M. and to do the lectures", two pages, 8vo, 69 Eaton Square, 14 February 1939; together with: another letter from Baldwin to Cadbury, remarking "I have been spoiled; for nearly a quarter of a century I have been nursed by secretaries and now I am naked and defenceless and try to deal with my correspondence, myself, and it's a mixed grill", two pages, 8vo, Stourport on Severn, 21st November 1939; and a letter from Lucy Baldwin of Bewdley, by Baldwin's wife, thanking the correspondent for some flowers, one page, 8vo, Stourport on Severn, 22nd December 1939 (3)
