WWII ERA LE COULTRE INSTRUMENT PANEL RADIO WATCH
Maker: LeCoultre for O.M.T based in Rome during WWII.
Date: 1940's.
Movement: LeCoultre, mechanical, bezel-wound.
Dial: Signed, black, luminous Arabic hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial.
Case: Black painted steel (incomplete as the back section would have been affixed to a radio set/vehicle.
Bezel Diameter: 41mm
Note: Installed in Italian and German vehicle radio sets to both keep time and help location fix radio communications. This is believed to include both ground and air vehicles, such as tanks, troop transports, bombers, fighter aircraft, and Zeppelins.
O.M.T (Officine Militari Transmisioni (Military Transmission Workshops), was a provider of radio sets to the Italian Armed Forces during WW2.
