G. Kinleside Gratwicke to front pastedown, later half calf over original marbled boards, spine gilt with morocco label, worn, [Abbey Travel 536], John Murray, 4to, 1817.
***The letter, dated 1815, discusses Lord Amherst’s son ‘Jeff’ (1802-26): “we walked to Tothill Fields to see the boys play at cricket [...] I am going to dress for Lord Malmesbury.”
