An early 19^th century German 12 loth (750 standard) silver milk jug, Halle (Saale) circa 1800 by M over VD (untraced)

of tall helmet form upon a circular pedestal base, the everted lip with panelled section and a moulded loop handle. Gilt interior. The foot rim engraved with initials Z. A. N. 1801. Marked to foot rim with town mark, lot mark (used circa 1786-1808), assay scrape and maker’s mark.
