Chinese Propaganda.- Pre-Cultural Revolution Celebrate the Chinese Communist Party 40th year anniversary, 1921 - 1961 colour lithograph poster marking the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party, 74.5 x 50cm, People's Liberation Army Art Pictorial Publishing House, August 1962; with Cui Jing Wen Our Business Must Win, colour lithograph, 77.5 x 53cm, 1965; and 2 others (4) *** The fact that the first  poster was published in 1962 perhaps reflects the difficulties of the 'Three Bad Years'. It is unusual for such an early PRC poster to survive. With regards to the second poster in the lot, it is worth mentioning it bears the artist's name. Once the Cultural Revolution started in 1966, all such works had to be anonymous as it was considered bourgeois to claim authorship.
