The flask of flattened globular form, painted with two large stylised panels enclosing coastal landscape scenes dotted with boats, dwellings and trees, with additional leafy panels with European figures set against a bright yellow ground woven with colourful twisting stems bearing large vibrant lotus flowers, the neck a replacement from a different vessel and decorated with boys in the doucai palette
