Mountbatten (Edwina)

Watercolour by Samuel Openshaw (signed 'S. Opershaw' on lower left corner), a Warrant officer class1 in Royal Army Ordnance Corps in 1945, also signed by Edwina Mountbatten on the same corner, mounted, overall size 510 x 620mm.

***It is likely Edwina signed the work when she met Opershaw on one of her numerous visits to the troops during WW2.
