Antique George III Scottish Sterling Silver cream boat or milk jug by Daniel Ker, Edinburgh 1769. This shallow form regarded by scholars as being indicative of use as a cream boat as opposed to a sauceboat. On three shell feet, with a wavy rim, scroll handle and contemporary chased foliate repoussé decoration to the body. Length 15cm / 6". Silver weight 143g / 4.6 troy oz.
