*** Ussher (or Usher) was the Anglican Archbishop of Armagh who published in 1650 a chronology of the Old Testament, extended in 1654 by his "Annalium pars posterior" in which he calculated the date of Creation. The posthumous 'Chronologia' (Usher died in 1656) is a corrected summary and supplement to his earlier "Annales".
