A 19th century French hunting short sword, of high quality, with gilt fittings. The hilt and scabbard fittings featuring dogs, horns, a wolf's head and foliage. The grip of fluted horn, the double-fullered straight blade (with pitting near the tip) of 21 1/2 inches (54.5cm), marked to Coulaux of Klingenthal. The scabbard leather has been restored. (1)
