An early 20th century Austrian 900 standard silver gilt and lapis lazuli table snuff box, Vienna circa 1910 by Johann Geissler & Sohn (active 1873-1922)
Of circular form with a pull off lid. The sides with engine turned decoration of chevron patterns between die-rolled rims of flower heads. The lid with a central inset disc of lapis lazuli edged with a die-rolled flower rim and inset squares of lapis lazuli, the edges with four applied die-struck panels of laurel leaves. Marked throughout, makers mark JG with an upwards oblong inbetween within an oval.
