A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver claret jug or ewer, Kashmir circa 1890
Raj period. Of compressed globular form with a tall tapering neck with an everted lip, the handled formed as a serpent, the head forming the finial to the hinged lid. The body with scalloped sections below neck and above foot. The body with chased decoration in mosaic pattern. Gilt interior.
