THREE JAPANESE BRONZE INCENSE BURNERS AND TWO COVERS

18th/19th and 20th Centuries

The first of cylindrical form raised on three feet with heart-shaped panels, the cover also set with heart-shaped panels and surmounted by a lion dog, with head and tail raised and one paw resting on a pierced ball, the second with a globular body, feet emerging from lion head masks, decorated with running karashishi, the domed cover pierced with shippo design, a separately cast stand, the third in form of a disc with separately cast handles modelled as bamboo leaves, raised on three feet, the neck pierced with square windows,
