ALBUM OF CONSTANTINOPLE & TURKEY, ATHENS & GREECE, early 1900s. A mix of silver gelatin and albumen prints (157), measuring from approx. 255 x 350mm to 95 x 130mm (or the reverse), depicting views of Turkey and Greece, primarily Constantinople and Athens, including traditional costume portraits, rural and urban scenes, domestic and religious architecture, and ancient Athenian ruins on the Acropolis, mounted on blue card recto and verso. Housed in an oblong folio measuring 289 x 410mm, blue morocco gilt, spine gilt with raised bands in 5 compartments, gilt edges and marbled endpapers.
