The soft rust-red field with overall design of large multicolourd hooked palmettes, angularf floral and leafy vine. In deep bottle-green border of angular vine, hooked and serrated leaves together with bold cross lozenge panels between angular floral meander reciprocal, barber-pole and plain stripes, approx: 350cm. x 275cm. Very good type, sought after on the market. Excellent overal design and good colour combination. This carpet has localized wear at one side, down to knot collar. Both ends are fraying in parts into guard stripe. Selvages original with touches of fraying in small places on wool cord. Despite the imperfections this carpet still retains a classic look. Attracrtive piece.
