An early 20th century Chinese export silver bowl, Shanghai circa 1910, marked Hou Xiang, retailed by Wang Hing

Qing dynasty. Of rounded circular form with a scalloped wavy rim all upon a spreading scroll openwork foot. The body with a large embossed trailing Chinese dragon with applied wire whiskers. Marked underneath with artisan mark 厚祥 (HOU XIANG), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark WH. Associated stand.

Diameter – 25 cm / 9.8 inches
