A pair of late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver small water bottles (surhai), Lucknow circa 1880
Raj period. Each of globular form with a tall tapering cylindrical neck with a disc knop above a section of acanthus leaves, all upon a collet foot. The removable domed lids fixed by chain attachments underneath the disc. The body with flat chased decoration of coriander pattern with a band of palmettes.
