Lazarus has been actively involved with Chinese art for several years with extensive knowledge of ceramics, jades, bronzes, paintings and more. He has a strong academic background having studied Chinese art at Oxford University and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese having spent time living in Beijing. An active member of the Oriental Ceramic Society, he has a track record of making important discoveries including two 20th century ink paintings by Xu Beihong and Qi Baishi which together sold in 2014 for more than £850,000.
Japanese Art Specialist
Yasuko has been in the Japanese Art business for thirty years, starting her career working for a specialist dealer before joining Sotheby's New Bond Street in 1990 where she was the specialist of Japanese prints and paintings. During the nine years she spent at Sotheby's, she handled important European collections such as Walter Amstutz and Henri Vever collections of Japanese prints. Her experience spans a wide range of Japanese art and she has a particular interest in Textiles. Yasuko was educated in both Japan and England and has studied extensively in the field of visual art, including graphic design, fine art and photography.
